KHYBER : A blast and intense gunfire were reported near a check post along the Pak-Afghan Highway in Landi Kotal, local sources confirmed. The attack targeted security forces’ positions in Zakhakhel and Sultankhel areas, including an Frontier Corps FC post near Stupa, late Thursday night.
Security forces swiftly counterattacked, repelling the assailants. No casualties have been reported so far, but authorities remain on high alert.
The situation is being closely monitored, with additional reinforcements deployed to the region. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
