PESHAWAR: A prominent leader of Tehreek-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (TQN) was shot dead by unknown assailants in the Sarband area of Peshawar during Isha prayer on Sunday .
The victim identifed as Zahid, son of Bari Shah, was the brother of Abid Khan, the Ameer of Town Three Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam
(JUI). He was reciting the Holy Quran inside a mosque in Achini Payan when he was targeted.
Police have launched an investigation but have not yet determined the motive behind the killing.
