CHARSADDA: Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms triggered severe flooding in Tangi Abazai, Charsadda, causing rivers to overflow and inundate key areas. The deluge submerged the Gilgechi bridge and swept through local roads, trapping an Alto car attempting to cross the Khor water channel. Fortunately, the vehicle’s owner escaped unharmed. District authorities confirmed no casualties and activated an emergency control room to coordinate relief. As floodwaters disrupted normal life, residents launched community-led rescue operations to assist affected families.
