LOS ANGELES: The Khalistan Referendum voting in Los Angeles has ended. Around 35,000 Sikhs participated, supporting the creation of Khalistan in Indian Punjab.
Sikh leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, from Sikhs for Justice, announced the next referendum will be on August 17 in Washington, DC. He thanked the Trump administration for allowing the vote.
“Sikhs worldwide are sending a clear message to India,” Pannun said. He stated that Sikhs reject Indian rule and will fight bullets with votes.
Earlier this month, Pannun blamed India’s intelligence agency, RAW, for the Jaffar Express attack in Pakistan. He accused New Delhi of waging a covert war against Pakistan.
