MARDAN: District Police Mardan has taken a historic step and signed special agreements with 14 renowned educational institutions and 2 major hospitals to support families of the martyred cops.
A statement issued by the DPO office on Wednesday said that free education and medical facilities would be provided to the children of police martyrs, while special concessions would also be given to the serving police personnel.
According to the details, agreements have been signed with Leeds School, Iqra School and College, Ghazali School, Dararqam, Smart School, Pakland School and other institutions, under which 100 percent fee waiver will be given to the children of martyrs, while 30 percent concession will be given to the children of serving police personnel. Another 17 educational institutions will also join this welfare initiative.
Similarly, under the agreement with Akbar Medical Complex and Khyber Hospital Mardan, free treatment facilities will be provided to the families of police martyrs, while special concessions will be given to the police personnel.
DPO Zahoor Babar Afridi said that Mardan Police will always be at the forefront for the welfare of the families of its martyrs, and more such welfare agreements will be signed in the future so that all possible facilities can be provided to the children and families of the martyrs.
