MARDAN : The “First Martyrs Police Sports Gala” was inaugurated in Police Line Mardan to honor the sacrifices of fallen police officers. The event was launched under the directives of IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and DPO Mardan Zahoor Babar Afridi.
The ceremony was emotionally charged as the father and children of Shaheed ASI Wali Muhammad inaugurated the gala, remembering the bravery of police martyrs. Senior officers, including SP Headquarters Rizwan Habib and Additional DIG Wasal Khan, attended the event.
SP Rizwan Habib praised the initiative, stating, “The sacrifices of our martyrs are a golden chapter in history. This sports gala not only honors them but also promotes fitness and teamwork among our personnel.”
Police teams from across Mardan are participating in volleyball, football, cricket, and badminton competitions. The event highlights the nation’s pride in its martyrs and reinforces the pledge to never forget their sacrifices.
“Such ceremonies keep the memories of our heroes alive,” officials emphasized.
