MARDAN: An attack by the terrorists on Baizai Police Station in Katlang area of district Mardan was repulsed by the police, making the terrorists run for their lives and flee the area, police said on Monday.
As per reports, the terrorists attacked Baizai Police Station late Sunday night.
However, the policemen effectively retaliated with thermal guns, forcing the attackers to flee the area. No loss of life was reported in the attack.
The police station was also attacked in June last year in which one police constable was injured. The police had successfully thwarted the attack.
Security forces have launched a search operation to track down the assailants, and law enforcement agencies have ramped up security to prevent further attacks.
