MARDAN:District Police Officer (DPO) Zahoor Babar Afridi has suspended two traffic police officials for sharing a video on social media, citing violations of police discipline and the department’s social media policy.

 

The DPO took immediate action after the video surfaced online. The suspended officials were involved in filming and sharing a video showing a motorcyclist calling a government minister regarding his license and motorcycle documents. This video was then made viral on social media platforms.

 

DPO Afridi emphasized that maintaining strict discipline within the police force and ensuring adherence to institutional rules is a top priority. The suspension is a direct result of breaching these standards.

 

A full departmental inquiry into the incident has been initiated. Further legal and departmental actions will be determined based on the findings of this investig

ation.
