ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued a Senate ticket to Mashal Yousafzai for the reserved women’s seat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The decision was made on the instructions of the party’s founder and patron.
A notification issued by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated that other party candidates—Sajida Begum, Momina Basit, Sameera Shamsi, and Samina Khalid—have been instructed to withdraw their nominations by July 30.
The Senate by-election for the KP women’s seat is scheduled for July 31.
