Mashal Yousafzai to challenge election commission in court
Senator Mashal Yousafzai, who was elected from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has decided to approach the Peshawar High Court against the Election Commission for the delay in the notification of her Senate seat.

Mashal Yousafzai won the Senate election on July 31 for the vacant seat of Dr. Sania Nishtar, but despite the passage of a week, the official notification of her victory has not been issued yet. Due to this delay, she has not been able to take the oath yet.
Talking to a private TV, Mashal Yousafzai said that seven days have passed, but the Election Commission has not issued the notification of her victory, due to which the oath-taking ceremony could not be held.
She said that all the other successful senators had taken the oath within a few days, but there is an unusual delay in their case.
She further said that it is hoped that the notification will be issued in the next few days, but she still does not know the real reason for the delay.
On the other hand, Sohail Khan, spokesperson for the Election Commission of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, clarified that all the required documents of Mashal Yousafzai have been sent to the central office in Islamabad, and it is hoped that the notification will be issued by today or tomorrow. Mashal Yousafzai says that if there is further delay, she will approach the Peshawar High Court by taking legal action.
