Tribal leader Planted flowers in empty missile cylinder to convey message of peace to the World

LANDI KOTAL: Conveying a message of peace to the world, a tribal leader, Malak Massil Khan of Landi Kotal, turned an empty missile cylinder into a flower bucket, where he planted a variety of flowers to spend some pleasant moments of peace and brotherhood.

“This land could not bear the brunt of more wars and we want to live with peace and prosperity and that was the reason that today converted the missile cylinder to a flower container to portray the message of peace and love” he said.

“I was 25 years of age when Russian forces invaded Afghanistan and used missiles to hit different areas of the country. Some of the missile empty cylinders frequently come to Landi Kotal to hit our houses and villages,” Massil Khan remarked while talking to Pakhtun Digital.

He said that Pakhtuns never attacked anyone, but wars were always imposed upon them, and today I have planted these flowers to convey the message of peace to the entire world that Pakhtuns are peace-loving people. He added that he wished to have a peaceful world and convert the smell of explosives to the smell of flowers, whether it is in Afghanistan or any other part of the world.

Massil Khan said that there is no winner of wars, but the ultimate result is destruction and unfolding tragedies. He said that the world leader should think before imposing war on peaceful people. He said that people of tribal areas and the Pakhtun belt rendered major sacrifices for peace, whether it is the Afghan-Russian war or the US-Afghan war. Both wars brought destruction and suffering to the people of this area.

He appealed to the world leaders to stop the war in Gaza, Ukraine, Lebanon and Syria, where a large number of innocent people have been martyred. He also urged the US to play a role in stopping Israel’s atrocities in Gaza, where children and women are being brutally targeted.
