The Awami National Party Khyber (ANP) Pakhtunkhwa President Mian Iftikhar Hussain has strongly condemned the cowardly murderous attack on Maulana Khanzeb and his associates, saying that this attack is not only an attack on the Awami National Party but also on Pakhtun consciousness, peace and resistance politics. He said that the public killing of a brave, ideological and peaceful religious scholar like Maulana Khanzeb is clear evidence that terrorists have once again been given free rein in our areas in a systematic manner, and state institutions are watching all this happening with complete silence. Mian Iftikhar Hussain announced that the Awami National Party Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will observe three days of mourning, all activities will remain suspended, and all workers will offer Fateha for the eternal peace of the martyrs. Party flags should also be hoisted with black flags as a sign of protest and mourning. He appealed to the workers to maintain morale, unity and organisational discipline. He added that he had just received information about this heartbreaking incident, and he was immediately leaving for Bajaur, where he would announce the future course of action after consulting with the workers, relatives, and local leadership.
