May 9 probe: Police get go-ahead for lie detector test on PTI founder

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has granted permission to police to question Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in jail regarding 12 cases linked to the May 9 violence.

Judge Manzar Ali Gul also approved a police request to conduct polygraph (lie detector) and photogrammetric (facial mapping) tests on the former prime minister. The prosecution had sought these tests as part of the investigation.

The court has instructed police to submit their investigation report by May 26. The cases relate to last year’s violent protests following Imran Khan’s arrest, which involved attacks on military installations.
