Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has stated that India’s recent aggressive actions have brought the entire region to the brink of a dangerous war. He affirmed that Pakistan has provided a resolute and forceful response to Indian provocations and is prepared to give a fitting reply to any future aggression.
While addressing the Pakistani community during his visit to the United States, the Field Marshal expressed that India has committed serious violations of Pakistan’s sovereignty, which are of global concern. He referred to the terrorist activities orchestrated by India’s intelligence agency, RAW, the murder of a Sikh leader in Canada, and the Kulbhushan Jadhav case as clear examples of India’s negative intentions.
The Field Marshal criticised India’s claim of being a world leader, stating that its actions contradict this assertion. He noted that Pakistan has successfully fought a diplomatic battle against India’s discriminatory policies.
He emphasised that the issue of occupied Kashmir is not merely an internal matter for India but an incomplete international agenda that requires a solution through United Nations resolutions. He recalled that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared Kashmir to be the jugular vein of Pakistan, a stance that Pakistan continues to uphold.
In his address, the Field Marshal also highlighted the importance of overseas Pakistanis, describing them as the country’s capital. He noted that this community represents a brain gain rather than a brain drain, emphasising their invaluable contribution to Pakistan’s honour and dignity.
The Field Marshal remarked that social media has become a tool for spreading chaos by hostile elements. He underlined the importance of understanding the thoughts and priorities of the new generation as an urgent necessity.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir concluded by expressing Pakistan’s desire for constructive and sustainable relations with the United States, hoping for significant investments resulting from a potential trade agreement. He also appreciated the ongoing economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and China.
