LAKKI MARWAT: Police in Lakki Marwat successfully foiled a terrorist attack on the Gambela police station on Thursday. Security personnel spotted suspicious movement near the station in southern Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Acting swiftly, the police officers on duty opened fire on the approaching terrorists. Their immediate and effective response forced the attackers to abandon their plan and flee the area.
Fortunately, no police personnel were harmed in the incident, and there were no casualties reported.
Following the foiled attack, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed contacted the Lakki Marwat police force and commended the bravery and alertness of the officers involved.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu Region, Sajjad Khan, stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police are fully alert and equipped with modern technology to counter terrorist threats. He emphasized that such elements would not be allowed to succeed under any circumstances.
