Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has dismissed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks, stating that Modi has “finally come to his senses” after facing political setbacks.
Modi, during a rally in Gujarat, had warned Pakistan to “rid itself of terrorism” or face consequences, saying, “Otherwise, I will shoot you.”Asif responded by saying that leaders like Modi “destroy global peace” and that his political decline is evident. Asif claimed Modi is in “shock” over his dwindling political fortunes .
Separately, Asif commented on PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan’s offer for a “give and take” deal to secure her brother’s release. He termed her statement a “fragile effort” but said it could be considered. Aleema had earlier urged authorities to openly negotiate terms for Imran’s release, saying, “Tell us what you want from him.
