PESHAWAR: A grand jirga and open court was held in Mohmand tribal district under the leadership of Peshawar Division Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud. The event was attended by Commandant Mohmand Rifles, the Deputy Commissioner, District Police Officer, health and education officials, local government representatives, and other key stakeholders.
During the meeting, tribal elders publicly denounced non-state actors and vowed full cooperation with the government to ensure peace and stability. Commissioner Mehsud promised to strengthen the jirga system and address administrative issues on a priority basis.
