KP tourism dept sets up flood emergency response unit amid monsoon alerts

ISLAMABAD: Meteorologists have predicted that this year’s monsoon season will likely extend through the end of September.

Experts attribute the shifting weather patterns to the impact of climate change, which is disrupting traditional seasonal trends across the region.

In 2025, monsoon activity is expected to remain weaker in the southern parts of the country, with heavier rainfall concentrated in the northern and upper areas. However, from August 10 onward, the monsoon system is projected to gradually move southward.
