All Motorways are fully operational, confirms National Highway Authority

Motorway toll tax hike: Vehicles without M-Tags or low balance to pay 50% more from June 15

PESHAWAR: The National Highway Authority said that all motorways of the country are fully operational and active, and there is no blockade of traffic to disrupt the national traffic of the country.

In a statement issued on their page National High Authority informed the public that all Motorways in the country are open and there is no flood-related issue, which could cause the closure of Motorway.

Similarly, all National Highways are being supervised, and removal of debris continues on the Karakoram Highway. Traffic flow is normal as usual from Peshawar to Islamabad and from Islamabad to Lahore.

The NHA teams are fully alert to deal with any emergency on Motorways and Highways after heavy rainfall, which caused sliding in Rahimabad on the Karakoram Highway. However, the NHA team timely removed the barrier and opened the road for traffic.

It is to mentioning here that heavy rain lashed Islamabad and Rawalpindi for three consecutive days which resulting in Urban flooding and road blockages in various areas of Rawalpindi due to water inundation.
