KURRAM: Muharram processions and gatherings are being observed across Kurram district with strict security measures in place.
Authorities have deployed police, army, FC personnel, and volunteers to ensure safety at 454 Imambargahs in the district. Mobile and internet services remain suspended as part of security precautions.
The main procession in Parachinar started from Bab al-Abbas and is following its designated routes under heavy security. Medical camps and water (Sabil) stalls have been set up for mourners at various points.
Officials confirmed that the procession will conclude before Fajr prayers.
