MIRANSHAH : Due to worsening law and order concerns, the North Waziristan district administration has imposed strict movement guidelines for civilians during army convoys.
A public notice, circulated via posters, warned residents to follow newly issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), stating that violators will be “shot on sight” under military orders.
The administration clarified that the directive aims to ensure public safety amid heightened security measures, urging compliance “in their own interest.”
Meanwhile, in South Waziristan Upper, the Deputy Commissioner has imposed a complete ban on the use, sale, distribution, and storage of plastic bags under Section 144.
The ban, effective from July 1 to July 31, 2025, comes as part of an environmental and public health initiative. Authorities warned that legal action will be taken against those who violate the order.
