PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau has filed applications in the Accountability Court to freeze the assets of the accused persons involved in Kohistan corruption case.
Accountability Judge Rajab Ali has consolidated all the applications and adjourned the hearing until May 22. NAB Prosecutor Habibullah Baig said that NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is conducting an inquiry into the Kohistan scandal. Many movable and immovable assets of the accused involved in the scandal have been revealed. Director General NAB KP has ordered the freezing of the assets of the accused in this regard. Under Section 12 of the NAB Act, NAB orders must be ratified by the court. NAB Prosecutor NAB has filed various applications to freeze the assets of the accused involved. The court should hear all the applications together. The court has adjourned further hearings on the applications till May 22.
