ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced to provide citizens with the facility of birth, death and change in marital status at their home while filing their details in an online application.
In a statement, NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar has said that NADRA has developed a mobile App for online registration of change in marital status, birth and death certificates and through this app, citizens will be able to register important events of their life at home.
This facility will be introduced first in Punjab through the mobile app, for which biometric verification facility is being provided in all union councils of the province. In addition, one-window counters are being set up by NADRA in the union councils of the federal capital Islamabad.
It has been reported that NADRA has further improved its digital services for the convenience of users and has introduced several facilities including renewal of arms license in the new version of the Pak ID application, after which citizens can now easily renew their arms license at home, for which they do not need to visit any NADRA office.
NADRA officials say that under the new features included in the app, users can get instant access to all their family members, their composition and other information and various other identity services can also be easily performed through the app. The agency is active in further expanding the scope of digital facilitation so that modern, secure and fast facilities can be provided to the users.
In addition, NADRA has issued important instructions for citizens applying for ID cards and other official documents, which state that applicants must bring original documents with them while visiting NADRA centres.
Official instructions state that photocopies are not required for B-Form or registration certificates, there is no legal status to use someone else’s ID card as collateral, citizens should not share their personal information or fingerprints in exchange for financial offers or rewards, avoid carrying unnecessary photocopies and bring only original documents for processing.
