ISLAMABAD: As the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1447 Hijri was not sighted, the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal will be on Tuesday.

Accordingly, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated on Saturday, September 6, which coincidentally falls on the day of Pakistan Defence Day.  It should be noted that Pakistan Defence Day is celebrated on September 06 every year to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs and veterans of the 1965 war.  On this occasion, ceremonies, seminars and prayer gatherings are held across the country, while the Pakistani armed forces hoist the flag and salute the martyrs’ memorial.

This year, this day also carries a special spiritual and religious aspect, as the joys of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, the birth anniversary of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), will also be celebrated on this day. Thus, September 6, 2025 will not only be a day of remembrance of national defence, but will also include the joys of the blessed occasion of the birth of Holy Prophet (PBUH).This year, Pakistan Defense Day is also significant in that Pakistan has recently achieved a historic victory against India in the war against invaders.
