National Assembly meets today with 12-point agenda

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly, the lower house of Parliament, will meet today (Monday) at 5:00 p.m. at Parliament House. Speaker Ayaz Sadiq will chair the session.

The National Assembly Secretariat has issued a 12-point agenda. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi will move a resolution to extend the Society Registration (Amendment) Ordinance by 120 days. The agenda also includes responses to calling attention notices.

The Minister for Education will propose changes to the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1975.

The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs will present the Special Economic Zones Authority Amendment Bill, 2025.

The Minister for Law will submit the National Commission for Human Rights reports for 2023 and 2024.

The House will also discuss a motion of thanks for the President’s address to Parliament on March 10, 2025. Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal will present the motion.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has scheduled a parliamentary party meeting at 3:00 pm in the opposition lobby. PTI leader Zartaj Gul will chair the meeting. The party will finalise its strategy for today’s session.
