KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy successfully carried out a two-day comprehensive exercise aimed at countering sub-conventional and asymmetric threats at all major ports and harbours across the country.
The drill focused on validating and enhancing Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to ensure the robust security of critical maritime infrastructure in response to evolving threats. The exercise featured coordinated operations involving the Pakistan Navy Fleet, Pak Marines, Special Service Group (Navy), and Naval Aviation units.
The exercise simulated a range of sub-conventional scenarios such as sabotage, infiltration, and unconventional attacks, allowing participating units to strengthen inter-agency coordination, improve situational awareness, and boost rapid response capabilities.
Commander Coast Rear Admiral Faisal Amin visited multiple operational setups during the exercise and observed live-action simulations. He commended the high level of readiness and professionalism displayed by all units involved. Emphasizing the strategic importance of maritime infrastructure, he stated that the secure operation of ports and harbours is essential for national economic stability and progress.
The Pakistan Navy reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a high state of preparedness and enhancing its capabilities to safeguard the country’s maritime frontiers against emerging challenges.
