Nawaz Sharif expresses grief over losses of precious lives in KP floods

Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives due to floods and natural disasters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In his statement, he said that my sympathies are with the grieving families of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in this hour of grief. Nawaz Sharif said that the loss of lives due to floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a heartbreaking and unfortunate tragedy. He prayed for the health and forgiveness of the victims and said that may Allah Almighty grant the injured a speedy recovery and grant the martyrs a high place in Paradise.

It should be noted that a large number of lives and property have been lost in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 48 hours due to heavy rains, floods, landslides and lightning strikes. According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), 321 people have died in the province so far.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Pakistan Army and district administration are engaged in rescue and relief operations in the affected areas. The death toll in Buner district in particular has reached 266 while 23 people are injured, including 17 men, 4 women and 2 children.
