Awami National Party (ANP) leader Samar Bilour has launched a sharp critique against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), alleging the party has transformed into a “fully hereditary” entity since Imran Khan’s imprisonment. Speaking on Pakhtoon Digital’s podcast, Bilour claimed PTI’s leadership now rests with Imran Khan’s family, particularly his sister Aleema Khan, who allegedly directs party policy, issues statements, and mediates between jailed leaders and lawyers .

Bilour highlighted contradictions in PTI’s stance, noting Imran Khan’s past refusal to negotiate (“no NRO”) now contrasts with Aleema Khan’s alleged offers to discuss concessions. She also criticized PTI for “strengthening the Indian narrative” in its response to the Jaffer Express incident instead of upholding a national position .

Turning to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Bilour slammed the PTI-led provincial government for prioritizing protests over public welfare. She questioned the allocation of funds to the Lahore High Court Bar Association amid crises in health, education, and infrastructure, declaring: “The province’s resources are only for protests? There has been destruction, not change, in 12 years” . She further alleged the upcoming protest was assigned to Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur only after Junaid Akbar “could not bear the financial expenses” .

Bilour contrasted KP’s approach with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s province-focused governance, urging KP’s administration to “work for its people instead of distributing funds for rallies”.
