ISLAMABAD: NEPRA has approved a major cut in tariffs for electric vehicle charging stations. The federal government requested the change.
The base tariff will drop from Rs45.55 to Rs23.57 per unit. This marks a reduction of Rs21.98 per unit.
NEPRA also removed the capped margin of Rs24.44. The market will now set the margin freely.
The government made this move to boost electric vehicle use and expand charging access.
Meanwhile, the Finance Ministry announced no change in petroleum prices.
