Islamabad: Iftikhar Bhatti, Director General of Pakistan space agency (SUPARCO) , has stated that Pakistan’s latest satellite launch demonstrates the country’s growing technological capabilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti described the launch as a moment of pride, emphasizing that Pakistan’s space research is progressing steadily. “This achievement highlights our nation’s expertise in space technology,” he said.
He added that Pakistan is a responsible space-faring nation and noted that the newly launched satellite will play a crucial role in agriculture, disaster management, and environmental monitoring. “This satellite will provide vital data on floods, earthquakes, and ground movements, helping in early warnings and mitigation efforts,” Bhatti explained.
The satellite is also equipped to analyze critical environmental changes, including water scarcity, glacier melting, rising temperatures, and shifting weather patterns. Bhatti recalled that Pakistan has successfully launched satellites in the past, reinforcing its commitment to space exploration and technological advancement.
