News regarding Field Marshal Asim Munir to become President of Pakistan are baseless: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has termed the news baseless regarding Field Marshal Asim Munir to become the President of Pakistan.

He clarified that such rumours are far from the truth and no such thing is being considered in the country. during an exclusive interview with a British magazine, when DG ISPR was asked about the response to India’s military action, he said that this time Pakistan’s strategy will start from the east of India, and it aims to strike deep inside India.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry further said that India must understand that Pakistan can give an effective response anywhere and at any time, and India can also be targeted anywhere

During the interview, when The Economist referred to India’s possible military attack and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong statements against Pakistan, Army spokesperson responded forcefully, warning that this time we will start from the east of India. If India undertakes any kind of adventure against Pakistan, its response will not only be forceful but may also be unconventional.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that it will start by attacking deep inside India. India needs to understand that they, too, can be killed anywhere.
