NHA announces toll tax raise again

ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced an increase in toll tax across national highways and motorways, set to take effect from April 1.

According to an official notification, the revised toll rates include Rs70 for cars, Rs150 for vans, and Rs250 for buses. Two- and three-axle trucks will be charged Rs300, while larger trucks will pay Rs550.

The toll hike affects major motorways, including M1, M3, M4, M5, M14, and E35. Car tolls on the M1 Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway will rise from Rs500 to Rs550, while the M3 Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway fee increases from Rs700 to Rs800.

On the M4 Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad-Multan route, car tolls will go up from Rs950 to Rs1,050, and on the M5 Multan-Sukkur Motorway, from Rs1,100 to Rs1,200. The M14 Dera Ismail Khan-Hakla Motorway will now charge Rs650 for cars, up from Rs600, while the E35 Hasan Abdal-Havelian-Mansehra route toll increases from Rs250 to Rs300.
