Petrol price hike expected as global oil rates climb

The Federal Ministry of Finance has issued new petroleum prices, maintaining the current rate for petrol while reducing the price of high-speed diesel.

According to the official notification, the price of petrol will remain unchanged at Rs 252.63 per liter. However, high-speed diesel has become cheaper by Rs 2 per liter, with its new price set at Rs 254.64 per liter.


Finance Ministry Announces New Fuel Prices: Diesel Down by Rs 2The new prices have taken effect immediately. The Finance Ministry stated that the price adjustment was made after reviewing fluctuations in global oil markets to ensure stability in domestic fuel prices.

This marks the first reduction in diesel prices in recent weeks, while petrol prices remain steady. The decision is expected to provide some relief to transport and agricultural sectors that heavily rely on diesel.
