No clue about missing tourist at Babusar Top as search entered 11th day

GILGIT: The search for the missing tourists on the Babusar Highway continues for the 11th day, but no success has been achieved so far.

Gilgit-Baltistan government spokesman Faizullah Feraq, rescue teams are continuously engaged in search operations to find the tourists. Spokesperson Faizullah Feraq says that in view of the recent flood situation in Gilgit-Baltistan, a state of emergency has been imposed across the province.

According to the spokesperson, the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan has invited Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif to visit the region so that the federal government can focus its attention on the rehabilitation and relief activities of the affected areas.

Faizullah Faraq has said that it is hoped that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will visit Gilgit-Baltistan soon and will provide relief to the suffering people of the area.

The spokesperson of the Gilgit-Baltistan government says that a tragic incident of a glacier bursting in the Bagrot Valley today, as a result of which a father and son fell into a deep gorge. Rescue teams have been immediately dispatched to the scene on the information of the incident.

Gilgit-Baltistan government spokesperson Faizullah Feraq has further said that relief operations are also underway in the Ghizer area, the provincial government will be the voice of the flood victims and all possible assistance will be provided.
