PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Advisor for Information, Barrister Saif, has strongly asserted that all the cases filed against former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan are entirely fabricated and baseless.
He emphasised that these cases lack any credible evidence and that the principles of justice are being blatantly violated in their proceedings. In a strongly worded statement, Barrister Saif pointed out that the mysterious disappearances of judges handling these cases have already exposed the hollowness and political motivations behind them. According to him, if there had been even a shred of legitimate evidence against Imran Khan, the authorities would have gone to the extent of dragging judges to court on stretchers just to secure a conviction.
He further alleged that the repeated absence of judges and even lawyers is not a coincidence but a deliberate and systematic attempt to prolong legal proceedings and mislead the public. These tactics, he said, are part of a broader strategy to suppress dissent and hinder fair legal recourse.
Barrister Saif also criticised the 26th Constitutional Amendment, claiming that it has created significant obstacles in the way of delivering justice. He argued that when courts become unable or unwilling to fulfil their constitutional duty of ensuring justice, it becomes the democratic and constitutional right of the people to take to the streets and raise their voices against such injustice.
Turning his criticism toward the federal government, Barrister Saif described it as an illegitimate or “fake” regime that has already resorted to its final and most desperate tactic—using force against its own citizens. However, he said, the public has now overcome their fear and are more determined than ever to support their leader, Imran Khan.
He declared that the people are once again ready to launch a massive protest movement in support of Khan, and warned that this time, the scale and intensity of public outrage will be beyond the government’s control. According to him, any further oppressive or fascist measures by the state will be met with strong resistance, as the public has mentally and practically prepared itself to respond with full force to any injustice or authoritarian action.
In conclusion, Barrister Saif reiterated that the government’s tactics have only strengthened the resolve of the people, and if pushed further, the country could witness a political movement of unprecedented scale—one that the current rulers will not be able to suppress.
