No more cross-province MDCAT exams, says PMDC

PMDC MDCAT exam

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has introduced new guidelines for the MDCAT exam, which is required for admission to medical and dental colleges. According to the updated policy, candidates must now take the test only in their respective provinces based on their domicile.

The PMDC stated that no candidate will be allowed to take the exam in another province, and all must appear at their province’s designated center. Additionally, for admission to medical and dental colleges, students must score at least 65% in FSC Pre-Medical, though there is no specific educational requirement to sit for the MDCAT exam.

Internationally, only one test center will be set up in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with no other centers available outside Pakistan. The PMDC has also uploaded the MDCAT syllabus on its official website for candidates’ reference.
