PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyer Salman Akram Raja Advocate said that there is no possibility of Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s release at present, and it would be premature to talk about assuming the party leadership.
Talking to Journalists, Salman Akram Raja criticised the current situation in the country and said, “We are all victims of fascism, and no one is exempt from it. What is happening with the judiciary and the justice system is in front of everyone. This is not just a PTI issue, but a problem for the entire nation.”
He informed that five to six cases are currently pending against Qureshi, so there is no expectation of his early release. He stressed that the public and the media should avoid wrong assumptions.
Salman Akram Raja expressed deep concern over the justice system, saying, “It is no longer a justice system but has become an aggressive system, which has become a challenge for the entire nation. Living nations do not remain silent in such situations, but respond to them, and now it remains to be seen how the Pakistani nation reacts
Salman Akram Raja’s statements are being considered important in the context of the country’s political and judicial crisis, where on one hand, there is pressure on the PTI leadership, while on the other hand, criticism of the country’s judicial system is increasing.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi is one among the senior politicians of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf who always stressed reconciliation and dialogue with the government on May 09-related cases and other issues related to elections.
