Nowshera’s TikTok content creator sisters rescued after going missing

NOWSHERA: Afghan twin sisters and TikTok content creators, Shakeela and Naila, who had gone missing from Mardan after a shopping trip, were safely recovered from Peshawar after six days, officials confirmed on Sunday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Naseem Khan stated that the Risalpur Police traced the sisters using mobile data and brought them safely to the Risalpur Police Station.

The disappearance was reported by their mother at the Risalpur Police Station under section 174 of the law. However, following their recovery, the sisters approached the court seeking protection, citing fears of becoming victims of honour-based violence.

Responding to their plea, the court rejected the mother’s request for their custody and ordered that both sisters be relocated to Dar-ul-Aman (a women’s shelter) in Mardan for their safety.

DSP Naseem Khan confirmed that the sisters have now been securely shifted to the shelter.
