PARACHINAR: Over 150 people, including children, were hospitalised after consuming poisonous food during a wedding feast in the Shalozan area of Parachinar here on Friday.
According to the assistant commissioner, Khalid Imran, over 150 people were brought to the hospital from the Shalozan area of Parachinar after their health condition deteriorated by consuming the wedding feast.
AC said that children, women among the victims underwent treatment at the hospital.
He added that the incident took place around 10 kilometres away from Parachinar city.
The Parachinar AC said dozens of private vehicles, including ambulances from Rescue 1122, Edhi Foundation, and welfare organisations, were taking the children to the hospital.
“All the children are out of danger,” The Parachinar Ac said.
Meanwhile, the medical superintendent of the hospital, Hassan Jan, said they were utilising all the available resources to ensure the best healthcare for the affected people.
