One dead, several injured due to aerial firing in parts of KP on eve of Chand Raat

 

PESHAWAR: A child was reportedly killed, and several others were injured due to aerial firing in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on the eve of Chand Raat.

According to Rescue 1122, a child died in an aerial firing in Bannu, Khyber and Nowshera, while 11 people were seriously injured.

According to the hospital official, Mohammad Nouman, a young child died in an aerial firing while 9 people were seriously injured.

In addition, a young man was injured in an aerial firing during Iftar at a local restaurant in Nowshera and was shifted to Qazi Medical Complex.

On the other hand, a girl was also seriously injured in aerial firing in Barkambar Khel Suraks, Khyber, and was shifted to the hospital.

On the direction of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, district administrations in the province had already imposed a ban on aerial firing, fireworks, arms display and toy guns under section 144 ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, however, violations continue at various places.

Our correspondent in Swabi, also reported that two persons were injured in the Parmoli area of Swabi due to aerial firing and moved to the hospital.
