ISLAMABAD: The opposition alliance has announced to convene an all-party conference (APC) after Eid-ul-Fitr on the tense security situation in the country, especially the ongoing terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Member of the National Assembly and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Latif Khosa will chair the all-party conference.
According to sources, all political parties’ leaders would be invited to participate in the all-party conference called by the Tehreek-I-Tahafuz Pakistan movement.
The opposition parties included in the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Pakistan had boycotted the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security held on Wednesday in Parliament House Islamabad, in which the Prime Minister, Mian Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, chief ministers of all provinces and other political and military leaders had attended and discussed the growing insurgency in the country.
Earlier boycotting the National Security Council meeting, the PTI leadership had announced participation in the NSC meeting, however, later the day they withdrew from the decision and did not show off in the crucial meeting.
The opposition alliance was harshly criticized by the public, and political leaders for not attending the meeting on National Security.
