Opposition parties of all provinces launching anti-govt campaign after Eid: Omar Ayub

Omar Ayub urges govt to prioritise security over political victimisation

HARIPUR: Opposition parties of all provinces of Pakistan are coming together against the installed regime under the leadership of Mehmood Khan Achakzai on the platform of Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Pakistan.

It was said by the opposition leader Omar Ayub Khan in a media talk in Haripur. He emphasized that opposition parties are coming together against the political background of Haripur, Pakistan.

He said that on March 23, a Pakistan resolution was presented at Minar-e-Pakistan. In that resolution, it was decided that a separate country should be created where Muslims can live their lives freely. Unfortunately, there is no freedom at the moment. The media is not free, whoever speaks is stopped under the PECA Act.

He said that at present the situation in all the provinces of Pakistan was worse and there was only one solution to this, which was to give a mandate to the effective political forces and they should come forward.

Opposition leader says they were prepared on the day of national security meeting but they wanted to meet the founder of PTI. A letter was also written to the Speaker for permission, which was turned down, due to which they could not attend the meeting in protest.

He said that the political decision of the party was absolutely correct. The list was given to the senior parliamentarian so that after meeting the founder of PTI, we could attend the meeting.

Mr Khan says they condemned the rise in terrorist incidents. Despite the barbed wire fence being erected on the border, the arrival of the militants was a question mark on the performance of concerned authorities.
