PESHAWAR: More than 130,000 households in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will get free solar systems.
As per details, more than 32,500 deserving families of the province will get the free solar system in the first phase. A
A ceremony will be held in this regard at the Chief Minister’s House. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will be the chief guest.
Under the project, a total of 130,000 deserving households will be provided with solar power.
The solar power package includes 1 solar panel, 1 charge controller, 1 battery, 2 fans, 3 bulbs and a mobile charger.
Families registered under the Ehsaas Programme and Benazir Income Support Programme have been included in the programme.
The authorities said that orphans, widows, disabled people and minority households will be given priority in the scheme.
Solar power will be provided to deserving households through e-Bidding lucky draw.
