Over 26,000 students enrolled as KP expands girls’ education initiative

KP Govt Establishes 387 Community Schools, Prioritizing Girls' Education

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has prioritized girls’ education by establishing 387 community schools across the province, benefiting over 26,000 students, most of them girls.

These schools provide quality, flexible, and non-formal education, particularly in areas where girls’ education was previously limited. The initiative aims to boost literacy, empower women, and build community trust in education.

The KP Education Department stated that these grassroots efforts are a major step forward in improving access to education. Parents and locals have shown strong support, as the schools help break barriers to girls’ schooling.

KP’s Education Minister emphasized that ensuring equal education for every girl remains the government’s top goal, and community schools are making this vision a reality.
