ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called overseas Pakistanis the “ambassadors of Pakistan” and praised their contributions to the country. During a special meeting on overseas Pakistanis’ affairs, he announced new incentives to honor their services.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief General Asim Munir, federal ministers, and senior officials. Discussions focused on new facilities for overseas Pakistanis.
PM Shehbaz highlighted their hard work and dedication, saying they have brought pride to Pakistan globally. He mentioned the success of the recent Overseas Pakistanis Convention, which showed their trust in government policies.
To recognize their efforts, the government has introduced a special package, including civil awards for high-performing expatriates and those sending significant remittances through the State Bank. The PM also promised priority resolution of issues and more investment opportunities for overseas Pakistanis in Pakistan.
