NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Important Jirga of Tribal Elders and Pakistan army officers was held in Miranshah area of tribal districts and discussed matters related to peace and stability in the area,
GOC Miranshah Major General Adil Iftikhar welcomed the participants of the Jirga and appreciated the key role of tribal elders and elders for peace and prosperity in North Waziristan. Officers from civil administration and deputy commissioner also participated.
The participants of the Jirga welcomed the holding of ceremonies in North Waziristan on Independence Day and the Struggle for Justice and announced to celebrate September 6th Defense Day with the same enthusiasm.
The Jirga discussed in detail the current security situation in the area and the participants were informed about the efforts of terrorist elements operating in the area to undermine peace.
