After the significant meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an important statement describing the Pak-China friendship as solid as a rock.
During their meeting, Wang Yi and Field Marshal Munir discussed in detail the enhancement of bilateral relations, regional security, and mutual cooperation. Wang Yi emphasised that the Pakistani army serves as a pillar of national stability and is a strong guardian of the friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and China. He noted that the Pakistani army has always ensured the full implementation of the critical agreements reached by the leadership of both countries.
Wang Yi stated that despite the increasing uncertainty in the world, the close relations between Pakistan and China contribute positively to regional peace and stability. He added that China has consistently prioritised Pakistan in its diplomatic efforts and that its relationship has grown stronger despite the challenges posed by time.
Wang Yi assured that China will continue to provide full support to Pakistan in safeguarding its territorial integrity and national security while welcoming Pakistan’s role in international affairs.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir referred to China as an “iron friend” of Pakistan, highlighting that both countries have stood by each other through various trials. He stated that the Pak-China strategic partnership is as robust as a rock, and the entire Pakistani nation values its friendly relations with China.
Field Marshal Munir expressed gratitude to the Chinese leadership for their support in Pakistan’s social and economic development. He confirmed the Pakistani army’s commitment to enhancing counter-terrorism and security cooperation. Additionally, the Army Chief reiterated his pledge to ensure the complete safety of Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions in Pakistan and to continue working towards development that further strengthens the friendship between the two countries.
