Pak Army, people ready to thwart Indian aggression: Punjab assembly resolution

LAHORE : The Punjab Assembly passed a resolution on Wednesday, strongly condemning India’s alleged “false flag operation” in Pahalgam and its escalating aggression in occupied Kashmir. Tabled by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Uzma Kardar, the resolution denounced India’s atrocities in Kashmir, water manipulation tactics, and “war-mongering rhetoric,” declaring Pakistan’s desire for peace “not a weakness.”

The resolution asserted that Pakistan’s armed forces and citizens are fully prepared to counter any Indian aggression, warning that “every provocation will be met with a crushing response.” It reaffirmed Kashmir as Pakistan’s “jugular vein” and demanded accountability for atrocities against Kashmiris. The Assembly also labeled water resources as Pakistan’s “lifeline,” vowing no compromise on the issue.

Amid ongoing military exercises, the resolution urged the international community to intervene against India’s “irresponsible actions,” accusing New Delhi of destabilizing regional peace. The move follows heightened tensions after India’s failed Pahalgam operation and recent cross-border clashes.
