PESHAWAR: As the nation celebrated Eid ul-Fitr, the families of officers and soldiers deployed along the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shared emotional messages, expressing pride in their loved ones safeguarding the homeland.

Havaldar Shakir’s wife spoke of her longing, saying, “We miss you dearly today, but our hearts are filled with joy knowing you are defending the motherland.”

Lieutenant Colonel Shakeel’s daughter sent warm Eid wishes, saying, “Baba, Eid Mubarak! We are so proud of you and the Pakistan Army.” His wife echoed the sentiment, extending greetings to “the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army.”

Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Ali’s mother shared her pride, stating, “I am honored that my son stands guard on the border for our country.” His daughter added, “My father is fortunate to be among the heroes of the Pakistan Army. When I grow up, I too will serve and protect the nation.”
