The 8th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Exercise-2025 started on Monday at the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi. The event was inaugurated by the Director General of Military Training. The 60-hour-long patrolling exercise is designed to strengthen military cooperation among nations in complex security situations.
A total of 20 friendly countries, along with military observers, are taking part. The participants include Bahrain, Belarus, China, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Morocco, Nepal, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Turkiye, the United States, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Germany, Indonesia, Kenya, Myanmar, South Africa, and Thailand.
The PATS exercise is an annual event focused on mission-specific tasks, testing soldiers’ physical fitness, mental sharpness, and combat skills in near-real scenarios. It encourages quick decision-making and teamwork in challenging conditions.
